Do you want to work close to socially important functions and contribute to safe water and environmental quality? We are now looking for a Laboratory Engineer for our unit. This role is suitable for you who thrive with clear working methods, high quality requirements, and work where attention to detail makes a real difference.

About the Role
As a Laboratory Engineer, you will become part of the team performing analyses of environmental water at our two accredited laboratories in Falkenberg and Varberg. The samples come from approximately twenty treatment plants and are an important part of monitoring water quality and environmental impact. The work is performed both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, with a focus on quality, traceability, and reliable results.

Your Responsibilities
• Preparatory work in the laboratory according to established routines
• Performing physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of environmental water/drinking water
• Documenting and reporting analysis results according to the laboratory's quality system
• Contributing to order, safety, and quality assurance in daily laboratory work

Qualifications

Requirements:
We are looking for you who have a university education of at least 180 ECTS in chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental science/environmental engineering, biotechnology, or microbiology.
You have at least three years of practical experience in laboratory work, are accustomed to working with both physico-chemical and microbiological analyses, and have good knowledge of laboratory equipment and instrumental analysis. You work in a structured manner, with high precision and quality assurance as a natural part of the work. Familiarity with digital tools is expected. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

Safety is a natural part of your working method, both in handling chemicals and in daily laboratory work. You plan and carry out your tasks independently and communicate clearly when reporting and collaborating with others.

Merits
• Experience with LIMS or other laboratory data systems
• Experience working in an accredited laboratory
• Experience with drinking water analyses
• Courses in wastewater and process technology
